relief image of Russian generals — princes Mikhail Vorotynsky and Dmitry Hvorostinin with allegories of glory, loyalty to the tsar and victory over the enemy, as well as images of "gulyai-gorod", galloping horsemen, warriors with weapons and a waving banner, made in relief and in laser matting technique; there are relief inscriptions, on the left along the edge: "THE BATTLE OF MOLODYOI", bottom right, in a stylized frame: "1572".
The Battle of Molodyoi (July 29 – August 2, 1572) was a major battle in which Russian troops defeated the army of the Crimean Khan Devlet I Giray, which included, in addition to the Crimean troops themselves, Turkish and Nogai detachments. Despite the more than twofold numerical superiority, the 40-thousandth Crimean army was put to flight and almost completely killed. In its significance, the Battle of Molodyoi is comparable to Kulikovskaya and other key battles in Russian history. The victory in the battle allowed Russia to preserve its independence and became a turning point in the confrontation between the Moscow state and the Crimean Khanate, which abandoned its claims to the Kazan and Astrakhan khanates and henceforth lost most of its power.
