Description
Elena Fabianovna Gnesina (1874-1967) was an outstanding musician, teacher, composer, musical and public figure. The founder of a number of educational institutions bearing the Gnessin family name. Elena Fabianovna Gnesina, together with her sisters, created a school in 1895, which in 72 years of her leadership turned into a "musical combine", which for almost 130 years has been training musicians who glorify Russian art around the world. Gnesina's name has become a symbol of the Russian musical education system. Today, the "school-college-university" model created by Gnesina is recognized as one of the most effective in world practice.
