The obverse of the coin depicts a fragment of the design of the 1918 note — a peasant woman and a worker against a background of a wreath of flowers and fruits, above which is the year of minting of the coin 2006, the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription - NATIONAL BANK (semicircle) / UKRAINE; below - 2 / griven and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin there is a silhouette image of George Narbut, to the right of which there is a generic coat of arms of Narbutov, under which the years of life is 1886/1920 and the inscription GEORGY NARBUT is placed in a semicircle.

He became one of the organizers of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, and later its rector, performed sketches for Ukrainian money lines of the Ukrainian People's Republic, developed samples of state symbols.
