For the significant contribution of the residents of the city to achieving Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, ensuring uninterrupted production of military and civilian products at industrial enterprises, while showing mass labor heroism and dedication, Novosibirsk was awarded the honorary title of the Russian Federation "City of Labor Valor". During the war, dozens of factories, institutes, and cultural institutions were evacuated to Novosibirsk. For 1418 days and nights, Novosibirsk residents stood at the machines, providing the front with ammunition, guns, equipment, ammunition and many others. They made a huge contribution to the Victory of the Soviet people in the bloodiest war in the history of mankind.
