On the obverse of the coin in the frame of a wreath formed from images of certain types of flora and fauna, there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions in four lines: UKRAINE, 10 griven, 2005, as well as the designation of the metal and its sample - Ag 925, clean mass - 31 , 1, in addition, the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin shows a rodent on the background of the plant (on the left) and the semicircle contains the inscriptions: SLIPAK SANDY (top) and SPALAX ARENARIUS RESHETNIK (bottom).
