On the obverse of the coin, the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the semicircle inscription are the NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, in the center is the image of the House of the Poet and the silhouettes of people in front of it, which personifies the hospitable spirit of the owner’s house, below which is the inscription HOUSE OF THE POET M. Voloshin, to the right of which designation of the year of coinage 2013; below - the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine and the face value of FIVE GRIVEN.

The reverse of the coin depicts the silhouette of the artist at work against the background of the sea landscape and the lines from his poem, which reveal the essence of the work of Maximilian Voloshin as a poet and artist - the door is unlocked.
