On the obverse there are coins: at the top is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription UKRAINE; in the center on a mirror background - the plan of the old castle in the city of Kamenets-Podolsky; on the right is the year of minting of the coin - 2017, the denomination below - 5 griven; on the right - the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin is the Kamenets-Podolsky fortress and the inscriptions: Kamenets-Podolsky / OLD LOCK (in a semicircle above).

Dedicated to the legendary Kamenetz-Podolsk fortress (castle), one of the most beautiful monuments of architecture in Ukraine. The castle was the main defensive structure in the complex of fortifications of the city, repeatedly subjected to changes and rebuilt. Now the castle is part of the Kamenetz-Podolsk State Historical Museum-Reserve.
