On the obverse of the coins in the frame of the floral ornament of the cathedral mosaic ʻEucharist` there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions in four lines and UKRAINE, 5 griven, 1998

On the reverse of the coins, against the background of the image of the St. Michael's Golden-domed Cathedral, are the silhouettes of the twelve apostles of the symbolic scene of the Eucharist communion mosaic. The coin has a circular inscription of the St. Michael the Golden-domed Cathedral XII ST.
