All Belgian coins of the third type depict the profile of the Belgian king Albert II. To the right of the portrait (in the inner part of the coins) there is a monogram of the king (the crowned letter "A" and the Roman figure "II") and the designation of the country "BE". Below the portrait is the year of coinage and the mint mark.

The third type of Belgian coins is similar to the second, but the portrait of Albert II is returned to the variant of the first type.
