On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, a semicircle inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, under which (on the left) the coin minting year is 2014; in the center against the background of a stylized ornament, the nominal value is 5 griven and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (below).

The reverse of the coin depicts the mosque of Khan Uzbek on the background of a stylized ornament, to the left of which is the inscription 700 / YEARS; in a circle of inscriptions: ESKI QIRIM. ? ZBEK HAN CAMISI VE MEDRESE and the SWORD of Khan Uzbek and madrasah.
