On the obverse of the coins in the frame of the plant ornament of the Eucharist Cathedral mosaic there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine and four-line inscriptions UKRAINE, 100 griven, 1998 (on a gold coin) and the designation and sample of the precious metal Au 900 and weight in purity 15.55.

On the reverse of the coins, against the background of the image of the St. Michael's Golden-domed Cathedral, are the silhouettes of the twelve apostles of the symbolic scene of the Eucharist communion mosaic. The coin has a circular inscription of the St. Michael the Golden-domed Cathedral XII ST.
