On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine and a semicircle inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE; in the center there is a composition symbolizing the victory: the figures 1944 (gilded on a silver coin), over which is the image of the salute, below is a laurel branch with a ribbon and a star, on the right above the star is the year of minting of the coin 2014; below, the semicircle inscription is FIVE CHERRY and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine (right).
On the reverse of the coin there is a stylized composition: in the center against the background of the map is the entrance gate of the palace complex in. Korsun-Shevchenko, in a circle placed arrows, symbolizing the offensive operation of the Soviet troops around the ring surrounding the enemy groupings, and placed inscriptions: 70 years (top right), Korsun-Shevchenko battle (semicircle at the bottom).
Devoted to the offensive operations of the First Ukrainian and Second Ukrainian Fronts, carried out from January 24 to February 17, 1944, during which the groupings of the Nazi troops in the Korsun performance were eliminated and favorable conditions were created for the final liberation of Right-Bank Ukraine.
