Depicts the minor temple of Ta' Ħaġrat complex. The Ta' Ħaġrat temples in Mġarr, Malta is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are amongst the most ancient religious sites on Earth. The larger Ta' Ħaġrat temple dates from the Ġgantija phase (3600–3200 BCE); the smaller (minor) is dated to the Saflieni phase (3300–3000 BCE). Ta' Ħaġrat is built out of lower coralline limestone, the oldest exposed rock in the Maltese Islands

This coin is the fourth in a series of seven coins depicting Maltese prehistoric sites. There are three types of this coin (obverse): • without mint marks (in rolls) • with the mint mark (Cornucopia) and director Yves Sampo's marks (Pentagon with letters AG) before and after year (UNC in coincard) • with letter F in the star at 6 hours (annual set)
