On the obverse of the coin in the center of the circle, formed by a bead pattern, there is an image of a small State Emblem of Ukraine framed in branches of viburnum. Above the coat of arms is the date 1996 - the year of coinage. In the circle of the inscription: at the top is UKRAINE, at the bottom in three lines 2 million rubles. Under the shield of the State Emblem are placed the designations and the sample of the precious metal Ag 925 and its weight in purity is 31.1

On the reverse of the coin in the left part there is a figure of a young Ukrainian in national dress holding a branch of blossoming viburnum in her right hand and holding a left hand with a laurel wreath in it above the relief map of Ukraine located in the right part of the coin field. At the point of the map, which corresponds to the location of the capital, there is an image of the national flag of Ukraine, the cloth of which flies over the map.
