On the obverse of the coin in the frame of the interpreted ornament of the capitals of the Galician stone church of the XII century. with the coat of arms of a bird and a lion woven into it - symbols of the cities of Galich and Lvov - images of the small State Emblem of Ukraine, stylized inscriptions in four lines are posted: UKRAINE, 10 griven, 1998 and the designation, test and weight of the metal.

On the reverse of the coin against the background of the imitated scroll, a triplane composition consisting of images of the waist-length portrait of the crowned prince Daniel in ceremonial military vestments, old Russian buildings and princely troops is deployed. The coin contains stylized inscriptions and the years of the prince’s rule: Danil Galitsky and 1205-1264 (above in two lines) and PRINCE UKRAINE (below in two lines).
