On the obverse of the coin are placed: in the center on a matte background – the emblem of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to the left of it – the small State Emblem of Ukraine; to the right – the denomination 5 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia; inscriptions: UKRAINE (semicircle at the top), 2023/the MAIN INTELLIGENCE DIRECTORATE (bottom); the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National the bank (to the left of the emblem).

On the reverse of the coin there are: inscriptions in a circle: MILITARY INTELLIGENCE of UKRAINE and the slogan of military intelligence officers in Latin SAPIENS DOMINABITUR ASTRIS ("The Wise will rule over the stars"); in the center there is a stylized composition: an owl holding a sword is depicted against the background of the surface of the globe (the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted on its hilt), penetrating the outlines the territory of the aggressor country.
