The reverse of the coin depicts a colored fragment of one of the oldest and most famous icons - the Vyshgorod Icon of the Mother of God (used pad printing) on ​​the left - a stylized composition - against the background of the three-domed church, the prince and his wife, who left the gates of the city, and the inscription: Ancient Vyshgorod / 946.

Dedicated to the ancient city of Vyshgorod, which was first mentioned in the Tale of Temporary Lite in 946 as the residence of Grand Duchess Olga-Olgin grad. The heyday of the city is associated with the formation of the Kiev state of the II-KhIIII centuries, which for some time served as the country residence of the great Kiev princes. The honor of the first Russian saints, Boris and Gleb, the sons of Prince of Kiev Vladimir Svyatoslavich, is connected with Vyshgorod.
