On the obverse of the coin, in the frame of the ancient Greek ornament and coat of arms, the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted and stylized inscriptions are placed: 2000, UKRAINE, 5, griven and, for the first time, the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin in its upper part is depicted the Akkerman fortress of the XV century. from the side of the Citadel and the Commandant’s Tower; on the bottom - in a semicircle there is an image of the coat of arms of Ackermann among the coins of Tyra of the 4th century. BC e. - III century. n e., as well as stylized inscriptions: Belgorod-Dniester and 2500 / YEARS.
