Dedicated to the Ukrainian Antarctic Scientific Center - the station ʻAcademic Vernadskiy` (former name `Faraday`), which is located on the island of Galindez of the Argentinean archipelago. The station was transferred to Ukraine according to the Memorandum of Understanding between the British Antarctic Service and the Ukrainian Antarctic Center. Studies at the station are carried out in many scientific fields and are aimed at ensuring the geopolitical interests of Ukraine in this region, integration into world science and the like.
