On the obverse of the coin there are: at the top - the small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the right of which the inscription UKRAINE (in a semicircle) in the center on a mirrored background - the portrait of Vasily Slipak, to the right of which: the note line, the denomination of the coin - 2, the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, the year of minting of the coin - 2021 and the logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; inscriptions on the left: VASILY SLIPAK "MYTH" (at the bottom in a semicircle).

The reverse of the coin depicts a nightingale on the barrel of a machine gun, stylized tree branches (above and below) against a mirrored background.

Dedicated to the Hero of Ukraine, holder of the orders "Gold Star", "For Courage" I degree, knight of freedom, volunteer, participant in hostilities in eastern Ukraine, volunteer warrior with the call sign "Myth" - Vasily Yaroslavovich Slipak. Vasyl Slipak is a world-famous Ukrainian opera singer, soloist of the Paris National Opera, one of the leaders of the Ukrainian community of France, a member of the Ukrainian Union of France, who, having postponed his concerts on world opera stages, since 2015 defended the Ukrainian state from the Russian aggressor and died on 41st year of life - June 29, 2016 from a sniper bullet near the village of Luganskoye.
