Dedicated to the artist, the founder of the realistic trend in Western Ukrainian painting, art critic, literary and art critic, publisher Ivan Ivanovich Trush. The author of the lyric series of landscapes, intravital portraits of I. Franko, V. Stefanik, L. Ukrainka ,. Nechuya-Levitsky, P. Zhitetsky, N. Drahomanov, M. Lysenko and many others, Ivan Trush also created about 250 large canvases, among which are the paintings “Sunset in the Forest”, “Dnieper near Kiev”, “Moonlit Night over the Sea” , “The Tomb of Taras Shevchenko in Kanev” and the like. The artist’s creative heritage is a valuable contribution to the history of Ukrainian fine art.
