On the obverse of the coin are placed: on a mirror background a stylized composition symbolizing thoracic surgery; one of the elements of the composition is colored (used for pad printing); below: small State Emblem of Ukraine, inscription UKRAINE; under them: nominal - 2 / UAH and year of coinage - 2018; the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (right).

The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Olga Avilova, under which the inscriptions: OLGA / AVILOVA / 1918 - 2009.

Dedicated to the outstanding doctor, teacher, Honored Doctor of Ukraine Olga Matveevna Avilova, who is one of the founders of thoracic surgery in Ukraine. A. Avilova - the first head of the pulmonology department, the founder of the scientific school of reconstructive surgery of the trachea and bronchi, the organizer of the Kiev city pulmonology center, the author of more than 300 scientific works.
