A small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions UKRAINE / 2 / HRIVNY / 2016 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine are placed on the obverse of the coin framed in a wreath formed from images of certain types of flora and fauna.

The reverse of the coin shows a colored lady's slipper present (used pad printing) and placed inscriptions in a semicircle: lady's slipper present (above), CYPRIPEDIUM CALCEOLUS L. (below).

Dedicated to the endangered species of a perennial herbal plant from the family of zozulintsev, or orchid, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine - lady's slipper hereby. These magic flowers, one of the most famous orchids of the Northern Hemisphere, resemble the shoes of peoples in their original beauty.
