Against the background of the outlines of the statue of Jesus Christ on Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, there is a wavy green ribbon (pad print) with pictograms representing various sports; below, on the wavy line there is a sign of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (pad printing).

The coin is dedicated to the Games of the XXXI Olympiad 2016, a major international sports event to be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), from 5 to 21 August 2016, and will be the first such competition to be held in South America. International summer sports competitions are held every four years under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee as part of the Olympic movement.
