On the obverse of the coin, on the left, in a semicircle is a stylized fragment of a snowflake, on the relief background of which the inscription UKRAINE and the small State Emblem of Ukraine are placed; bottom right on the mirror background of the inscription: on a silver coin - 10 UAH, 2002, the designation of the metal and its samples Ag 925, weight in purity - 31.1; on the nickel silver coin - 2, hryvnia, 2002, on both coins - the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin has a silhouette image of a skater on the mirror background, on the right a stylized fragment of a snowflake is shown in a semicircle, on an embossed background there is an inscription in three lines: XI WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES, Salt Lake City, 2002.
