On the obverse of the coin in its upper part there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is the inscription UKRAINE; between two fragments of a stylized floral and floral ornament - inscriptions in three lines: 2, hryvnia, 2001 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin in the center shows an expanded book with an inscription in three lines of 5 YEARS OF THE CONSTITUTION, which is framed by a plant composition of ears and branches of viburnum, above it is the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; below - the date of adoption of the Constitution: 28 / June / 1996.
