Obverse
The obverse of the coin in the center of concentric circles, separated by solar signs, depicts the State Emblem of Ukraine surrounded by pottery from Tripoli culture, discovered by V. Khvoyka during archaeological research. The coin contains stylized inscriptions in four lines: UKRAINE, 2000 TWO, hryvnia
Reverse
On the reverse of the coin there is a chest portrait of a scientist and circular stylized inscriptions: Vincent Khvoyk and 1850-1914.

Dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vikenty Vyacheslavovich Khvoyka (1850-1914), an eminent Ukrainian archaeologist - discoverer of the Tripoli monuments (4-2 thousand BC), Zarubinetsky (3 BC. BC - 4 Art. AD) and Chernyakhovskaya (2-7th century AD) cultures, as well as Scythian and East Slavonic monuments.
