On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, in a semicircle of which the inscription is the NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, two military times of the UPR and a Ukrainian profile in a wreath, which is a symbol of the young state; below - 2 grivny / 2009 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Simon Petliura, to the right and left of which the years of life - 1879 - 1926, below the inscription in a semicircle of SIMON Petliura.
