On the obverse of the coin in the center is a mosaic image of the Sign of the princely state of Volodymyr the Great - a trident as a symbol of the process of the formation of the state, which contributes to the consolidation and development of the Ukrainian nation, its historical consciousness, traditions and culture, over which - the year of minting of the coin - 2021 is the small State Emblem Ukraine (bottom left) inscription UKRAINE (bottom right), denomination of the coin - 250 and a graphic symbol of the hryvnia (below on a mirrored background).

The reverse of the coin, framed with stylized rays, depicts the main sculpture of the Monument of Independence of Ukraine (by A. Kust) - Oranta the Victorious with a viburnum branch in her hands; at the bottom there is a semicircular inscription - 30 YEARS OF UKRAINE INDEPENDENCE.
