On the obverse of the coin are placed: at the top is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which the inscription is UKRAINE, in a circle, against the background of a pattern of stylized Old Russian Kiev hryvnia – weight, counting and coin units, a stylized laurel wreath is depicted, at the bottom the denomination is 10 and a graph; in the center in an octagonal cartouche on a mirror background is a logo, under by which inscriptions: NATIONAL/BANK OF UKRAINE/2022.

On the reverse of the coin, the Archangel Michael is depicted on a mirror background (the decoration element is local gilding); the inscription is placed around the circle: ...FOR US AND THE SOULS OF the RIGHTEOUS, AND THE POWER of the ARCHANGEL MICHAEL (lines from the poem by T. Inscription

The commemorative coin is dedicated to the archangel, who is one of the most respected biblical characters and is referred to as the archangel Commander-in-chief. Archangel Michael is a constant fighter against the forces of evil, defender of the faith, patron of warriors fighting for a righteous cause and defending good. The respectful attitude towards the archangel Michael has been preserved from the grand ducal times to the present day – he became a symbol of the heavenly protection of the power of the Kiev princes, later this veneration was recorded not only toponymically – in the names of church buildings, but also heraldically – on the coats of arms of Kiev, Kiev voivodeship, Kiev. Today, his image is present in the attributes of Ukrainian paratroopers and again embodies the fight against the forces of evil.
