Description
Nikolay Yakovlevich Danilevsky (1822-1885) was a Russian philosopher and biologist, a member of the Russian Geographical Society (1858), a laureate of the highest award of the Russian Geographical Society — the Konstantinovsky Medal (1866). In the 1850s-70s, he participated and led expeditions that investigated the state of fishing in European Russia. Author of the works "Darwinism. Critical Research", "Russia and Europe. A look at the cultural and political relations of the Slavic world to the Germanic-Romance". The information is provided by the All-Russian public organization "Russian Geographical Society".
