Vormela peregusna (Latin: Vormela peregusna) is a species of mammal in the marten family. The only representative of the genus. The status in the Red Book of the Russian Federation is an undetermined species, in the IUCN Red List it is a vulnerable species. There is no up-to-date information on the number. In Russia, it is widespread in the steppe zone of the Southern and Siberian Federal districts. It inhabits steppes, hills overgrown with shrubs. Limiting factors are the state of the food supply (the number of small mammals), as well as birds of prey.
