The All-Union voluntary sports Society "Labor Reserves" was established during the Great Patriotic War and is aimed at the physical and moral education of the population of the Soviet Union. Among the pupils of the Society were Olympic champions and outstanding athletes who set numerous world records and won many gold medals.
Over the years, the Society has united more than one and a half million athletes, fans and spectators, opened 226 physical education and sports clubs at work in 55 regions of the country, and also helped attract more than two million people to industrial gymnastics. In addition, with the assistance of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Society "Labor Reserves" in 2020, the concept of "corporate sports" was enshrined in legislation.
