On the obverse of the coin, on a mirror background, there is a symbolic composition demonstrating courage and freedom, sincerity and at the same time tenderness, caring of Ukrainian women, embodied in the images of a mother and defender, who during the war took on a huge responsibility – to be in defense of the Motherland and at the same time remain a wife, mistress and mother (in the center); at the top the inscription UKRAINE (semicircle), on the left of which is the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, decorated with stylized ornaments of Ukrainian embroidery, denomination - 5 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia; on the right – the small State Emblem of Ukraine, decorated with stylized ornaments of Ukrainian embroidery, and the year of minting of the coin 2023.

On the reverse of the coin, on a mirror background, there is a composition symbolizing the femininity of Ukrainian defenders: on the left, stylized waves of female hair braided into a braid as a symbol of the accumulation of vitality necessary for health and spiritual development; on the right, the outlines of a female figure in a plakhta are depicted as a symbol of female initiation (pad printing is an element of decoration).
