The white–tongued dandelion (Latin Taraxacum leucoglossum) is a plant of the family of compound flowers. An endangered species. It is found only on the territory of Russia. It grows on the seaside rocks of Cape Turiy in the Tersky district of the Murmansk region. It lives on the southern slopes in rock crevices and depressions between stones filled with fine-grained soil, on narrow ledges. The population occupies a limited area stretching for about 100 meters along the coast. The limiting factor is a narrow ecological amplitude. The entire territory currently occupied by the species is part of the Kandalaksha Nature Reserve, which reliably guarantees the safety of the population.
