On the obverse of the coin on a mirror background are placed: at the top is the inscription UKRAINE (in a semicircle), to the right of which is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the year of minting of the coin 2022; in the center is the composition: against the background of a stylized open book is a rocking chair over which the muse of the artist (poet-satirist) flies, on the right are theatrical masks symbolizing the theater a life in which the poet exposes and ridicules negative phenomena; at the bottom of the semicircle, the denomination of the coin is 2 hryvnia; the logo of the Banknote Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (bottom right).

On the reverse of the coin are placed: against the background of a stylized open book in a cartoon style – a portrait of the poet-humorist, around which the inscriptions: SMILES (vertically to the left), TALES (vertically to the right), HUMORESQUES (under the portrait); on the left and right on a mirror background – images of the heroes of his humoresques; at the bottom of the inscription: 1922, 2004 (the years of the poet's life); PAVLO GLAZOV (in a semicircle).

The commemorative coin is dedicated to one of the most popular Ukrainian humorist poets, Honored Artist of Ukraine, winner of the Ostap Vishnya Prize (1988), the first winner of the Pyotr Sagaidachny Prize (1996) - Pavel Prokopovich Glazov. The inexhaustible sources of the humorist's creativity are the treasures of a living language, sparkling pearls of folk wisdom. The humor of the satirical poet is friendly, cheerful; wit and accuracy are inherent in fables; many works have the features of a folk joke and give a good mood. The writer's inherent love for his native land, his people, illnesses for the Ukrainian language, Ukrainian art, conveyed to people in a humorous form, encourage in the most difficult moments of life, and creativity is an open page of the cheerful disposition of the Ukrainian people.
