Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821-1881) - Russian writer, philosopher and publicist. Corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences since 1877. The classic of world literature. Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote his first novel, Poor People, in 1845. The work was enthusiastically received by the legislators of the literary fashion of those years - Nikolai Nekrasov and Vissarion Belinsky. Nekrasov called the aspiring writer "new Gogol" and published the novel in his anthology Petersburg Collection.
