The wrinkled—winged ground beetle (Latin: Carabus rugipennis) is a beetle in the ground beetle family. A rare subspecies. In Russia, it lives only on the Kuril Islands: Kunashir, Iturup, Urup, Chirpoev Brother Island, Shikotan. It is found in mixed and fir forests, thickets of coarse grasses near riverbeds. The main reason for the decline in numbers is the destruction of characteristic habitats.
