Dedicated to the city, which was first mentioned under 1100, the center of an appanage principality in Volyn - the city of Dubno (Duben), which in all historical times was at the crossroads of important historical and political events, trade routes, one of the centers of the spiritual life of the region. Dubna as a city was rebuilt by the Ostrog princes - sovereign and influential persons in the political arena of Europe in the 15th – 17th centuries.
