On the obverse of the coin there is a plan of the fortress, in the center of which there is an inscription in two lines 10 griven in the background of a stylized ornament, on the sides are figures of a warrior with a crossbow (right) and a husbandman (left) on the right - the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription: UKRAINE ( above), 2003 (left), and also below the designation of the metal and its sample - Ag 925, clean weight - 31.1, logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin depicts a fortress, against which dates are placed - XIV-XV centuries, between which is a heraldic plaque with coats of arms (Doge of Genoa, the Republic of Genoa and the consul) adorning one of the towers of the fortress. To the left of the fortress there is a merchant ship and circular inscriptions: SUDAK (top left) and the Genoese fortress (bottom).
