Dedicated to the centennial of one of the largest museums in Ukraine, the cultural center of Slobozhanshchina and Eastern Ukraine. Annually, the institution receives over 200 thousand visitors and for over a century has retained its special significance as a research, scientific, methodological and cultural-educational center of the Kharkov region. At the origins of the Museum of Sloboda Ukraine was Nikolai Fedorovich Sumtsov - an outstanding scientist, ethnographer, historian, researcher of folk life and worldview, who became the first director of the museum.
